WHAT A YEAR, HUH? LEMON, IT’S MID-JANUARY

Welcome back to THE DROP PASS, your week in review of everything Offside News Co. Every edition will recap hockey news, from our team-focused columns to podcasts and everything in between.

This week, we saw a trade and history being made, all in a week’s work in mid January! Meanwhile, I can barely hit inbox zero. Olympics are on the horizon, but first, every single team seems to be playing every single day.

THIS WEEK IN HOCKEY…

Thank you to our lovely staff for these headlines!

TO WRAP IT UP

FOR ALL THE BEANS

Attention college hockey lovers! Boston’s favourite tournament has arrived. Sarah Mahannah wrote a recap about how the Beanpot semifinal games went this past week.

The final will be played at TD Garden between Boston University and Harvard University on Tuesday, January 20 at 7:30 p.m. EST! Boston College and Northeastern University will play in the consolation game at 4:30 p.m. EST.

PWHL TAKEOVER TOUR

As the PWHL Takeover Tour continues to stop in cities across Canada and the United States, the whispers of further expansion grow louder and louder for the young league.
