Wow. It’s only been a week since we last dropped a newsletter. It feels like it’s been seven years though. A lot has happened and a lot will keep happening as we enter March.
With the USA men’s hockey team visiting the White House and attending the State of The Union (which, how boring. We would want to be partying in Miami instead), we want to remind everyone that all we have is each other. This sport is yours too.

The issues of hockey culture are ever looming in our society, but at times, they can feel overwhelming and much more present. This past week, in the fallout of the Team USA men’s Olympic ice hockey team’s fraternization with FBI Director Kash Patel and President Donald Trump, the oppressive realties of hockey culture feels suffocating to many.
Jayd Serdy compiled a list of books that work to educate and challenge the culture problems rooted in hockey.

The Kansas City DSA has launched the Kansas Trans ID Access Fund to ensure that trans, non binary, and gender nonconforming Kansans can obtain and maintain valid state issued identification following the passing of SB 244 which, among other rights violations, invalidates state-issued driver’s licenses with updated gender markers that reflect the carrier’s gender identity.
