This past week, May 12th, 2026, Jason Collins passed away after a battle with brain cancer. Following his coming out in 2013 in a front-page cover story for Sports Illustrated, he became the first active male athlete from one of the four major North American professional team sports to publicly do so.

KITCHENER RANGERS CAPTURE OHL CHAMPIONSHIP 🎉

Congratulations to the Kitchener Rangers for winning the J. Ross Robertson Cup, but mostly, congratulations to our very own Cody Gzowski, who has been covering the Rangers with boots on the ground all season long! They will compete for the Memorial Cup starting May 21.
